Uganda Forest Conservation Group is dedicated to influencing and strengthening the legal and policy environment for effective forest and biodiversity conservation. We actively engage with policymakers, government agencies, civil society, and other stakeholders to promote the development, review, and implementation of laws and policies that support sustainable forest management and environmental protection. Through evidence-based advocacy, we provide research, data, and field insights that inform decision-making and ensure that conservation priorities are reflected in national and local policies.

We also work to amplify the voices of forest-dependent communities, ensuring they are included in the policy dialogue and benefit from equitable and inclusive governance systems. By fostering collaborative partnerships and championing accountability, our advocacy efforts aim to create a more enabling environment for long-term conservation success and climate resilience across Uganda. Our work is rooted in the belief that sound policy is essential for protecting natural resources and sustaining livelihoods.
