The Uganda Forest Conservation Group’s Environmental Education & Advocacy Program is committed to raising public awareness and influencing policy for stronger environmental protection and biodiversity conservation. This program empowers individuals, schools, and communities with knowledge about the importance of forests, wildlife, and sustainable natural resource management.

Through targeted education campaigns, community dialogues, and school-based programs, it fosters a culture of environmental stewardship from the grassroots level. The advocacy component works closely with policymakers, civil society, and other stakeholders to promote the integration of conservation priorities into national and local policy frameworks. By using evidence-based advocacy, the program supports the development and enforcement of laws that safeguard Uganda’s natural ecosystems. It also amplifies community voices in decision-making processes, ensuring inclusive and informed environmental governance. Together, education and advocacy drive positive behavioral change and build a broad base of support for the long-term protection of Uganda’s rich biodiversity.
