Uganda Forest Conservation Group’s Forest and Biodiversity Conservation Program is dedicated to restoring degraded forest ecosystems and protecting the country’s diverse natural heritage. Through targeted reforestation and afforestation efforts, the program revives native forest cover, enhances ecosystem services, and combats the effects of deforestation. In parallel, it focuses on safeguarding endangered species by preserving critical habitats and reducing human-wildlife conflict.

The program integrates cutting-edge scientific research with innovative technologies to improve biodiversity conservation and ecological monitoring. This includes developing new methods for tracking species, assessing habitat health, and understanding ecological trends. Community involvement, policy support, and collaboration with research institutions strengthen the program’s impact and ensure sustainability. By combining restoration, science, and technology, the Forest and Biodiversity Conservation Program not only protects Uganda’s rich biodiversity but also promotes a healthier environment and long-term resilience for both ecosystems and the communities that depend on them.
