The Uganda Forest Conservation Group is committed to restoring the health and vitality of Uganda’s native forests. Our forest restoration work focuses on both assisted and passive approaches to bring degraded ecosystems back to life. We support natural regeneration by protecting young trees and reducing human disturbance, while also implementing strategic interventions such as planting native species in areas where natural recovery is limited. In addition to restoring degraded landscapes, we work to safeguard endangered forest areas through community engagement, advocacy, and sustainable land-use practices.

Our reforestation efforts not only rebuild forest cover but also enhance biodiversity, improve soil health, and support climate resilience. By collaborating with local communities and partners, we aim to create long-term solutions that ensure Uganda’s forests continue to thrive for future generations. Our work contributes directly to global efforts in climate action, conservation, and sustainable development.
