Uganda Forest Conservation Group (UFCG) was incorporated in Uganda in 2010, as a not-for-profit organization, to secure critical habitats, natural resources, circular economy and endangered species for the benefit of humanity, today and for future generations to come.

Through community engagement, scientific research and evidence-based advocacy, ecological monitoring, and technological innovations we have helped to protect more than 200,000 hectares of critical habitats for species of global and national significance across eastern, central and western regions of Uganda, as well, as provide climate-responsive solutions that support the sustainability of biodiversity and natural resources.

Today, with partnerships and collaborations with key government agencies managing forests and wildlife, local Community-Based Organizations, academia, and development partners, UFCG continues to grow to meet our strategic conservation targets—within Uganda’s Permanent Forest Estate and Wildlife Protected Areas, as well as biodiverse areas outside the protected area network.
